I am Pauline. Wah Dih Story Seh? Ah-come from Buxton Village, Guyana. Since I was a child, I have loved storytelling. As soon as I learned that my mother made up many of the stories she told me, I started making my own for my siblings. Today, I focus on telling Guyanese stories in Guyanese languages—English and Creolese.
Oh, I earn a living telling college students how to write (wink—academic stories). For my Ph.D. dissertation, I gathered and wrote oral histories of village women.
Really, my passion is cultural rhetorics. That means I make it my business talk and write about how people do things.
AND I think of all kinds of writing as telling stories. Thanks for stopping by.
